Tasting Notes
A very impressive bottle of Macallan, independently bottled up by Douglas Laing for the Xtra Old Particular series. The Speysider was distilled in 1989. Three whole decades passed, and in May 2019 the single malt was bottled at cask strength, weighing in at 53.5% ABV. The cask yielded just 249 hand-filled bottles, complete with glass stopper decanter, wooden presentation case and even a certificate of authenticity. Very nice indeed.
