The single-vineyard 2015 Finca Cascorrales shows the power and ripeness of the year—ripe but abundant and chalky tannins and riper fruit than the 2016 that I tasted next to it. This matured in 225-liter oak barrels for two winters, and there is some influence from the oak in the aromas and flavors. It finishes dry. It might need a little more time in bottle and/or powerful food. 1,360 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2017.
